“What Iranians Want” is an excellent audiobook, and, aside from the ‘79 Revolution, I only knew about the other movements and protests at a headline level. It’s a five star read, and I highly recommend it. Arash is an excellent writer and communicator, and I’m continuing to follow his work in The Atlantic.
Khameini wants invasion and public execution--Saddam or bust. Martyrdom for the cause, IRGC backs this. The Oil Barons run the country, there isnt a hope of Unions and Law breaking the stronghold. I see Syria 2003, honestly.
