If Alexander Hamilton were alive today, Ms. Labott, would he be singing the praises of the energetic presidency? I'm not sure if Trump has a consistent world view. Our only hope is that his ambitions align with our nation's principles. At least in my early days the authorities were consistently right or consistently wrong. Trump is all over the place. Take care.

I don’t think he has a consistent world view - but his foriegn policy is consistently based on economic interests - not just America’s but his own. Good point on his ambitions versus our nation’s principles. Let’s hope they align, as I doubt that the principles are his driving force.

Not a good look. Jamal 911 that was so sad to see that in that house how he allowed that to go on and he knew of all those things but still welcomed that large gathering in the White House.

He didn’t handle it well. The journalist had every right to ask, and frankly it would’ve been an issue if no one had. But what Trump could have said was something to the effect that recognizes the controversial and painful past but the US has important national interests with Saudi Arabia and he’s moving forward.

Absolutely you said it perfectly. Mary Bruce is a brilliant wonderful journalist. She didn’t deserve that. It was disgusting how he handled that. And how he talked to her. It was a great question. And she was the only one who asked it. She asked what everybody watching wanted to know. That’s brave journalism.
